Paris Events In November 2025 – Beaujolais, Photos & Parades

It's autumn in Paris and there are many special events to choose from in November. There's Beaujolais Nouveau Day, when the new vintage of that famous wine hits the shelves. Armistice Day features speeches, solemn remembrances, and a military parade along the Champs-Elysées. Paris Photo draws collectors and curators from around the globe. These are just a few of the highlights among Paris events in November 2025.

As the days grow shorter and the air turns crisp, Paris leans into its cultural calendar. From museum exhibitions to food festivals to a packed schedule of concerts and performances, Paris events in November 2025 offer a warm, lively contrast to the season's chill.

La Toussaint – All Saint's Day

La Toussaint is France's national day of remembrance, honoring saints and departed loved ones. The city's cemeteries — particularly Père Lachaise — fill with chrysanthemums and quiet footsteps as families visit and decorate graves. While shops, schools, and many offices close, cultural attractions like museums and monuments remain open, offering visitors a peaceful moment to experience a different side of Paris.

This is not a flashy celebration but a heartfelt tradition deeply woven into French life. For travelers, it's a unique opportunity to witness a living ritual of memory and respect. Paris feels a little slower, a bit more reflective — its grandeur softened by flowers and reverence. La Toussaint reminds us that even in a city devoted to beauty, remembrance has its place.

Armistice Day, French National Holiday

It was the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month in 1918 when the Allies and their opponent, Germany, signed the armistice agreement in Compiègne, France. Since then Armistice Day has been an important holiday in France.

World War I ended more than a century ago, but its memories still linger. There will be events throughout Paris and at the major battlefields to honor the fallen soldiers. The Paris branch of The Royal British Legion organizes an annual ceremony. Usually held in Notre Dame Cathedral, the ceremony will probably be held at Eglise St-Louis des Invalides while restoration work on the cathedral continues. Check their website to find out the exact time of the ceremony.

The big Paris event is the military parade that travels along Champs-Elysées and ends at the Arc de Triomphe. The President of France traditionally says a speech and lays a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. As this is such an important national holiday, many services will be closed.

Beaujolais Nouveau Day

Beaujolais Nouveau Day

Beaujolais Nouveau Day marks the official arrival of the season's first wine — bottled only weeks after harvest and released with theatrical precision at 12:01 AM. Paris embraces the tradition with open arms (and full glasses). Restaurants pour the bright, fruit-forward Gamay wine alongside hearty seasonal fare, while wine shops fill their windows with celebratory displays and host festive tastings.

The tradition dates back decades, fueled by a spirited race to deliver the first bottles to Paris. Though the wine itself is young and meant for immediate enjoyment, the fanfare surrounding it brings a splash of cheer to grey November days. Beaujolais Nouveau Day is not about aging or complexity — it's about celebration, conviviality, and being first to the party.
